We are delighted to inform you that we are now delivering a one-day Trauma-Informed SARC Support workshop for all professionals that work within Sexual Assault Referral Centre’s (SARC’s).

This training is suitable for Police Officers, Forensic Medical Examiners (FME) and Crisis Workers and will focus on collaboration, advocacy needs, emerging trends and current issues within SARC’s.

We have created this one-day training workshop to enable professionals to explore the support needs of victims and survivors who have been recently sexually assaulted. We will discuss how trauma presents in the initial stages after an assault and how we can support a person in a trauma-informed way by ensuring their voice is heard throughout their time in a SARC.

We will explore issues, emerging trends, and best practice to strengthen the response to sexual violence in the context of SARC Services. This training is suitable for SARC staff who are new to the role, as well as staff that have been working in SARC’s for some time.
